We are excited to announce our fifth annual Refuge from the Cold fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, November 4th from 6-8pm.

The event will be hosted at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood. This is the second year we are hosting the event at this beautiful venue. A big thank you to Bethlehem Lutheran for donating the space and making us so welcome once again!

Our speaker this year is Amanda Henderson from Interfaith Alliance. Amanda is the Executive Director and brings her own stories of how God invited her into relationship with homelessness. Interfaith Alliance has been at the forefront of rethinking how communities engage with people experiencing homelessness and the ways we can walk along side of them toward sustainable and attainable life off the streets.

We are introducing our new Ambassador Frederick. Frederick is homeless and a unique storyteller. His ability to tell his story of life on the streets without words is amazing! Not to be missed.

Our See the Need Fund the Need display has had a complete make over and now will help our event guests better understand the holistic approach Severe Weather Shelter Network encompasses in the way we engage the community at large and our guests. Event guests will have the opportunity to purchase limited edition ornaments especially designed for Severe Weather Shelter Network in addition to supporting the emergent needs of our shelter guests and the bigger vision of our work in the community.
