We just wrapped up our third volunteer training in preparation for the current sheltering season. Training is for all volunteers whether new to the network, or a seasoned vet. We have been focused on integrating REFUGE, RELATIONSHIP, and RESTORATION within the context of our training. At Severe Weather Shelter Network, training is about who you are becoming and not so much about who you currently are. This is based on the premise that we believe we are all growing and learning no matter age, background, or season in life. While there is some focus on policies and protocol, it is more about who God is inviting you to be and the people you will encounter through your participation in the work of the Severe Weather Shelter Network.
