We have not been shy about letting our donors and volunteers know about our tight pocketbook. Spring and summer historically are very slow for us financially. Unless the snow is flying or temperatures are extra cold, it seems our donors don’t see the need for financial support for the work we do.
We also recognize the US has moved into a recession and times are hard for many families and companies.
Fall is the season for Employee Matching Campaigns. This is an opportunity for you to double the gift to SWSN by participating in the campaign and selecting Severe Weather Shelter Network to be the recipient of your gift and the matching gift from your place of business.
We are currently $200,000 behind the budget for 2022. Your participation and support of SWSN at this time is a critical need! What can you do to encourage others to support SWSN?
Invite fellow co-workers to check out the website. Help them learn about the importance of what we do, together with our donors, volunteers and partners. Then, invite them to select SWSN to be the recipient of their Employee Match gift as well.
