My name may be on this certificate, but I am no fool. I know that we have received this award together. All of us, serving those who are experiencing homelessness in the City of Englewood brought Severe Weather Shelter Network to the attention of the Englewood Rotary Club.
I was honored to receive this award last Wednesday, September 7th during their monthly meeting. A humbling experience to hear the various activities and highlights mentioned that were accomplished over the last two years. Thank you Englewood Rotarians!
We were honored for living out the Four Way Test in such a way that our Englewood friends on the streets benefitted. Rotarians ask themselves these four questions at each of their meetings:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The certificate will hang on the wall in my office, but every time I see it I will remember the many people and organizations that helped Severe Weather Shelter Network be recognized for living out the Spirit of Rotary.
